More than just
the Debates

In the days ahead of the debates, international and national participants can seize the opportunity to explore the many features and recreational opportunities that Arusha and its surroundings offer. This infusion has been carefully crafted by the Organisers as “the Arusha Experience”

Prior to and after the Two Days of Debates the Regional Commissioner of Arusha will
host interested and paying parties on:

1.) Visitor excursions in any of the many national parks in the region

2.)Business/Industry excursion to any of the many medium to large businesses in the region

Tourist & Business
Excursions

The excursions are aimed at exposing delegates to social economic and cultural potentials available in Arusha and Manyara regions to enhance sustainable cooperation and networking among countries.

The proposed excursions are optional to delegates; there are excursions that can take place prior to the debates: visits to international organizations, social-economic sites within Arusha town. On the weekend of the week, delegates are in Arusha: Arusha national park, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Oldupai Gorge, Maasai, Hadzabe and Datoga communities. Post the debates: Mt Meru and Mt Kilimanjaro hiking and climbing.

Logistics for Excursion Visits

MS TCDC will be responsible for organizing and coordinating all excursions. Delegates will sign up for the preferred excursion; each group will have a guide escorting the group to the excursion site and back to the hotel. During the excursion meals and refreshments will be provided as part of the excursion package. Due to COVID 19 protocols, it is suggested all excursions be done in small groups of a maximum of 14 pax each.

Costing Model

The main source of activity funding is corporate sponsorships by Arusha Business Community and International Organisations to make possible the participation of East African and African participants especially the youth at a subsidised fee. International non-youth participants will be charged a full fee as determined by market rates for services selected and activities, they choose to be part of.
